According to the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, a road is being built to the area where mud volcanoes are located in the Absheron region. Within the framework of the project, the asphalt concrete surface of the road with a total length of 21 km will be 8 meters.
As part of the work on the first section of the road (15 km), the foundation of the road was built, it is ready for the application of asphalt concrete pavement.
The new road begins on the section of the Baku-Alat-Gazakh-state border with Georgia, passing through the territory of the Gobustan village, near the mud volcanoes. On another section of the road, work continues on the construction of the foundation.
