On the territory of the State Historical and Ethnographic Reserve “Gala”, together with the State Employment Service, a project is being launched for a complete revival and opportunities for widespread promotion of the national art of guram.
In particular, a workshop is being created, where six residents of the Gala village of the Khazar region, having received the necessary equipment and materials from the state, will create products in the style and technique of the ancient art of guram.
On the basis of this project, joint research activities are organized with the support of IRSICO (Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture) to study the traditions of the Guram in the countries of the Islamic world.
