An 18th century mosque in the liberated from occupation Memer village of Gubadli region was turned into a pigsty. Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev wrote about this on Twitter.
“The mosque is completely destroyed. Along with vandalism, during the occupation, a religious and cultural monument of the 18th century was desecrated by Armenia and turned into a pigsty. We call on UNESCO, ISESCO, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to take steps and condemn such barbaric actions,” wrote H.Hajiyev.
