President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev took part in the opening of the first 30-kilometer section of the new Baku-Guba-state border with the Russian Federation, which is a part of the North-South international transport corridor.
The construction of the road will serve to further expand the economic cooperation of Azerbaijan with the countries participating in the project. In addition, the construction of a new road, along with further improvement of transport services, will give an additional impetus to the development of tourism in the region and will play a major role in freight and passenger transportation along the corridor.
