“Currently, 35% of the territory of Karabakh is covered by television broadcasting. By the end of this year, television broadcasting will cover the territory of Karabakh by 100%.” This was stated by Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rovshan Rustamov at a seminar on “Digital development and priorities in the field of transport in Azerbaijan”. “72% of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan have 2G networks, 40% – 3G and 50% – 4G. Laying of a fiber-optic cable 1,400 km long has begun in Karabakh to create a broadband Internet network. We have already switched to digital television broadcasting. We plan to switch to full digitalization by 2026,” Rustamov added.
