In Tehran, Azerbaijan and Iran signed a memorandum on the development of cooperation in the field of railways. From the Azerbaijani side, the document was signed by the head of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Javid Gurbanov, from the Iranian side – by the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, Executive Director of the Iranian Railway Company Said Rasuli.
According to the memorandum, the annual transit of the two countries will increase by two million tons. Within the framework of the document, the parties agreed to develop cooperation in the railway sector.
