The Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency and the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency have checked 829 catering establishments and 68 hotels across the country for compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards in the context of the coronavirus.
The monitoring revealed 21 shortcomings in public catering establishments and 5 in hotels. 67% of the identified deficiencies in public catering enterprises are associated with the control over the use of medical masks by employees, and 19% – with non-compliance with the requirement to provide medical masks. Sixty percent of the deficiencies found in hotels are related to non-compliance with the requirement to allocate a special quarantine room inside the hotel.
