New London taxis in Baku will run on electricity

100 new “London taxi” LEVC TX models with a 6-seater cabin that meet modern standards have been brought to Baku and are ready to serve citizens at Heydar Aliyev Airport. This was reported by Baku Taxi Service LLC, which operates under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.
New models do not harm the environment as they run on electricity. The passenger compartment of the new taxis is wider than the other “London taxis” and has six seats. Cars are equipped with USB ports, Wi-Fi and CPS. To minimize contact between driver and passenger, a glass partition is installed, which is also very beneficial in terms of isolation and social distance during a pandemic. The cockpit has a dedicated microphone for communicating with the driver, a Braille control panel for the visually impaired and information board for the hearing impaired. The car is equipped with a ramp for people with disabilities. Payment in these taxis can also be made through POS terminals.
