The Icherisheher Museum Center presented animation and photographs of a model of the Sangachal caravanserai of the 15th century, which is a striking example of Shirvan-Absheron architecture of the Middle Ages.
The caravanserai was built by Shirvanshah Halilullah I. Under him, the Shirvanshahs state stretched from Derbent in the north to the Kura River in the south, while the eastern borders coincided with the Caspian coastal line, and in the west, the state bordered on the Sheki Khanate.
