Restoration and conservation of the fortress walls of the Old City of Baku have been completed.
First of all, using the latest technology, black gypsum crusts on the stones were removed. The work was carried out by the Austrian company Atelier Erich Pummer GmbH.
The last restoration work was carried out in the 50s of the last century. However, the damaged stones were covered with gray cement mortar and the stone continued to deteriorate. It is for this reason that two years ago, work began on the restoration and conservation of the fortress walls.
