The Azerbaijani low-cost airline Buta Airways has been amending the rules for carrying on hand luggage on all flights of the airline since March 12.
According to the new rules of air transportation, each passenger can take on board any type of hand luggage (backpack, sports bag, etc.) as an additional free item, provided that its dimensions in the sum of three dimensions do not exceed 75 centimeters (30x35x10 cm). There is no weight limit on hand luggage.
In order to verify compliance of hand luggage with the new rules, a special “stencil” is installed at all Buta Airways check-in counters, including at the Heydar Aliyev airport – a metal structure for checking baggage dimensions.
