The Art of Miniature is included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

On December 14-19, the 15th meeting of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage will be held.
According to the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, on December 16, a document was discussed on the nomination “Art in Miniature”, prepared jointly by Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran and Uzbekistan, and it was decided to include this cultural element in the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
“The adoption of such an important decision for our country is supported by the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, head of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva, the Ministry of Culture and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to UNESCO and UNESCO. This became possible thanks to the joint activities of the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
