According to the press secretary of the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan Kenan Guluzade, on May 15, hotel and tourist facilities owners received from the state more than 7.5 million manats to pay wages to their employees.
K. Guluzade noted that the damage to the tourism industry from the coronavirus pandemic will be long-term.
“We are looking for new support mechanisms. I can say that world tourism will fully recover in a year or two,” K. Guluzade said.
