The State Tourism Agency plans to implement projects under the “Victory Routes” concept, said the chairman of the State Tourism Agency Fuad Nagiyev. “We are currently working with other government agencies to restore and develop tourism in the liberated areas and transform the region into a new tourist destination. It is necessary to create and gradually implement a long-term strategy in order to introduce Karabakh as a national and safe tourism zone. In general, the Karabakh region, especially Shusha, Hadrut, Fuzuli, Sugovushan, East Zangazur regions, have rich resources and opportunities for the development of various types of tourism – eco, health, culture, nature, mountain and winter tourism. About 1 million local and foreign tourists will visit the liberated areas by 2025,” he said.
