The delivery of weapons to Armenia is carried out under the guise of humanitarian aid by civil aviation vessels, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan says.
“This is carried out under the guise of official visits to foreign countries using aircraft registered by the Armenian government,” the press service of the Foreign Ministry said.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia also smuggles weapons under the guise of humanitarian aid to the country.
“In particular, this is how missile systems and other weapons are transported. This is a violation of the Convention on International Civil Aviation, adopted in Chicago in 1944. In this regard, we turned to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) with a request to investigate this issue and take appropriate measures. “, – the message says.
