Anar Najafli, head of the press service of the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, said that construction work has already been completed on the 30-kilometer section of the new four-lane road Baku-Guba-border with Russia (M-1) between the villages of Yashma and Gilezi of the Khizi region of the republic.
Currently, construction work is underway on the 5th section of the new highway, between the village of Gandob, Shabran district and the village of Samur, Gusar district (border with Russia), the length of which is 58 km. Construction work on the remaining 3 sections is planned to be completed in the second half of 2021.
