"Hyrcanian Forests" are nominated for the UNESCO World Heritage List

The document of the transnational nomination “Hyrcanian Forests“, prepared jointly by the Azerbaijan Republic and the Islamic Republic of Iran, was submitted to the World Heritage Center for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The nomination document was signed on behalf of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to UNESCO, Ambassador Elman Abdullayev, and on behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran, by Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage Mohammad Hassan Talebiyan.
The document on the nomination “Hyrcanian Forests” will be considered by the Committee members at the 45th session of the World Heritage Committee in June-July 2022.
